Essay writing
1.     There is a lot of differences between school life and college life. Write an essay not exceeding 300 words by comparing school life with college life. Use relevant expressions of comparison and contrast.
2.     Write an essay not exceeding 300 words describing a place that you have visited. Narrate your experience during that travel, the various spots that you visited and how you enjoyed being there.
3.     Can students be given unrestricted access to the internet?
4.     Does a developing country like India really require expensive space research programs?
5.     Write an essay on any event in the history or an achiever who inspired you, in 200 words.
6.     The idea of going overseas for university study is an exciting prospect for many students. Write an essay not exceeding 250 words analyzing the pros and cons of going abroad for higher education.
7.     Write an essay not exceeding 250 words discussing the cause for the depletion of natural resources and the effect of over exploitation of natural resources.
8.     There is a general view in our country that there are enough jobs but not adequate skilled workers – skills including job-readiness, language and interpersonal communication. A recent statistics says only 30% of students with a professional degree are employable. Write an essay in about 300 words responding to the view expressed.

Letter to the Editor
1.     Write a letter to the Editor of the Hindu highlighting five serious problems related to overflowing garbage in your neighborhood and elsewhere in the city. Offer solutions to tackle the problems you highlight. Your letter should contain five paragraphs and not exceed 250 words.
2.     Write a letter to the Editor of a newspaper in about 250 words expressing your concern about the poor condition of the roads in your area after the rains and the hardships faced by people because of it. Suggest suitable measures to solve each of the problems highlighted.
